I used to work for Mercedes down in San Jose, CA at a dealership called Smythe European. We used to have all sorts of celebrities and their wives come in...49ers, Giants, guys like Steve Wasniak, Steve Jobbs, Robin Williams, Eddie DeBartolo, etc. Some would trade in their old car and buy a new one every other month. Former 49er Merton Hank's wife would be in there every 2 weeks buying a different color S class. It was insane! The service we get at our Infiniti dealership as is good OR better than what these celebs received though. I honestly mean that. They treat my automotively challenged wife like royalty. They've dropped everything to help her set the seat position memory, program the key fob and even explain how the distance setting on the cruise control works. I take that back. Either their service is great or our service advisor, Steve, is boinking my wife. Uh oh. {drives to dealership}

hahaah i hope not the last part! hahaha

BTW, went to another dealership over the weekend and asked if they can specially order the ivory pearl fx with the black interior, that *** hat was suppposed to call me back yesterday. Maybe it can't, who knows. The wifey really wants the white but that wheat interior is ugly. If we dont get that, we'll most likely get the titanium grey one.

White stays pretty clean, believe it or not. For us it was down to the same two colors also. We almost pulled the trigger on a used silver FX45 but it had almost 50k miles on it. I don't think you can go wrong either way. The FX is a pretty reliable SUV with a bullet proof engine and a great warranty.

Salesmen/managers like to sell what they have on the lot, not really what they have to trade for/order. You might have more success at a less busy time of the year, as a sales guy/gal would much rather spend time selling an easy car than one they have to order fuss with.

true, but this was one of those dealerships that dont have any cars in stock but have a storage place elsewhere. Pretty much you order, and they deliver. I'm leaning towards the ti grey one more though...haha im having that same excitement feeling right before i purchased my rx8..haha
