I would appreciate some help from you folks on my next car purchase. Because my MDX is on a 10K/yr. lease, and I'm going too high on that, I need another (smaller, better MPG) car for (primarily) around town use. Must be able to carry three people and one 50-pound dog. Also must have AWD for New England winters.

I'm considering the new 2010 Outback, Hyundai Santa Fe, 2010 Chevy Equinox and Subaru Impreza.

Any thoughts, pro or con? I'd be especially interested if someone here owns one of those models; or any other ideas are appreciated.

You might as well get another Mazda for the hat trick (seeing your other cars). Mazda CX7 or Tribute for decent mileage, or a used Mazdaspeed 6 (theyre AWD)
