I'd take this over a base vette, a Z06 no, but that's going to be more $$

Rumored to do 0-60 in about 5 seconds and run the ring in 8:11 faster than the 997. I am waiting to see the slalom speeds, that is what I think will be most impressive about this car, should handle like an absolute dream.

Came across this site, which features additional photos of Cayman S in the snow! Must be running on winter tires with it being RWD instead of AWD on Carrera 4. Without further ado, check out http://www.germancarfans.com/photos....porsche/1.html. Make sure you got your pop-up blocker ready.

As for the lapping capacity of the Cayman S, the 8:11 time claim was made by Porsche. The article found here http://www.autoweek.com/news.cms?newsId=102455 mentioned of it being 4 seconds faster than 911 Carrera and 7 seconds faster than Boxster S.

Overall it's very nice, but the ugly "fish gill" side vents and the overly busy fog lights are like blemishes on an otherwise clean shape.

Agreed but not only are the "fish gills" ugly but if they are going to be the same as on the Boxter s THEY ARE MADE OF A CHEAP LOOKING PLASTIC

Here in Australia the Boxter s is $135.000 + on roads the Cayman S will be around $155.00 +on roads for that sort of money we should get Aluminium gills or better still carbon fibre .

cheers

The strakes on an SL are plastic too, it happens and it's easily fixed. Personally, I would rather no vents, just openings.

Excatly my point the average car buyer is a smuck for accepting cheap finishes even on expensive cars its only recently that porsche gave buyers a lockable globe box , after it recieved many complaints .

cheers
