a couple of shots from one visit with Andrettis two of their homes in Pa
LOL a few pics w/ the Michael Andrettis at their home. Dad Mario's own mansion is in background. They share a small private few holes of golf course between the homes. Real nice former F1 folks. All images are copyrighted and are not to be copied, reproduced, transmitted or sold.

BBC Sport - Formula 1 double points scrapped for next season
BBC report saying F1 is set to ditch double points for the final race in 2015. Also Mercedes and other rivals can't agree on allowing more engine development during summer. Red Bull and Ferrari want more, for obvious reasons. Mercedes will allow less than rivals want. No agreement in hand, and it has to be unanimous.
Obviously Red Bull and Ferrari want to catch up to Mercedes and Mercedes wants to keep its advantage. I expect no unanimous agreement.

BTW Michael Andretti and family live in Indianapolis during race season (as a super successful Indycar team owner , Andretti has guided his drivers to win three Indianapolis 500 races, and also three Indycar Championships) . They also have successful Indy Lights, Pro Mazda (yes they are winners with Mazda too) , Global Rallycross, and Formula E teams !
They have kept their family home next to their dad Mario's home in Pa., and their Andretti family's lakeside camp in the Poconos in Pa. ( I have been there, you should see the "toys" they have in their garages). From humble beginnings, the Andrettis are the American dream come true with hard work and sacrifice, while still staying warm, humble and gracious folks. Years ago, following a CART race I was covering for my newspaper, the Philadelphia Inquirer, Mario took a very brief spin around the empty lot behind the wheel of my race modified RX7 with its 400+ hp. I then tried to sit behind the wheel of his Lambo Countach he had at the time, but could not fit my 6ft 4 1/2 inches 250 lbs. frame , which brought a big laugh to us all.
BTW Way to go Lewis Hamilton, I hope you win a bunch more F1 titles ! I will try to make the 2015 race in Texas and take photos.

You have placed them in public domain. Those pictures now belong to anyone who wants them...

There may be a related clause in the usage policy for this forum but that's a whole different can of worms.

archwisp is correct here. Unless rights have been explicitly granted, all rights belong to the creator. There was just a multi-million dollar judgement awarded to a photographer who posted on the web some shots he made, while a relief worker, during the aftermath of the Haiti earthquake. Those shots were taken from the web and used (without rights granted) by news organizations worldwide. Now they owe him millions for their unauthorized publication,TV usage, and sale.
Unfortunately people mistakenly believe that anything on the web is theirs free to use, publish and sell. It is not, unless such usage is granted in the agreements of the usage policy for the site. I also teach photojournalism at the University level and we teach our students what the law protects in respect to ownership and image usage, including on the web.

Good decision, Button is one of the five or six F1 drivers that can consistently contend for wins. I expect them with Honda to be competitive, with still a slight edge to Mercedes.

Bernie just thanked Mercedes for saving the championship by letting Lewis and Nico race throughout the year, so I expect him to let Mercedes keep their advantage for at least another year. He does this simply by upholding the current limits on off-season and in-season engine changes. Mercedes would not agree to what Red Bull and Ferrari wanted in relaxing of the engine rules, and it has to be unanimous.

Bernie has no power in deciding technical regulations.
He can only "advise" what to do. It's up to the FIA, teams and a bunch of other assets to decide what to do.
Anyway i'd expect them to keep these stupid PUs for at least 2 more seasons. I'm sure they'll find a way to **** up even further when the time comes to make a decision though.

BBC Sport - Honda's F1 return seemingly soured with engine controversy
Maybe the best overall explanation of what can and will probably be allowed during 2015 for each engine manufacturer.

FIA May Un-Screw Honda And Allow In-Season Development Of All F1 Engines
Hopefully they allow Honda top continue development like everyone else.
