if Japan doesn't host a race this year, it'll be down to 18 races instead of the scheduled 20. But it would be understandable considering what happened in Japan earlier this month.

4 hours till practice 3!!! Gosh, F1, how i've missed ya these last few months

And Hamilton really took his car by the scruff of the neck saying: You shall go faster!

Vettel's time was amazing. But to me even more amazing was how Hamilton managed to get enough speed out of the McLaren to beat a red bull in qualifying.

Oh and the Ferrari seemed to suck on that track. Great driving from Alonso to bring in a fifth place.

And the reason I am not praising Webber and Button for their 3rd and 4th place is because their times seemed more "normal" for what their cars can do.

dont' write button off, he's "only" 0.4 second slower, he definitely did try, but then again, Hamilton's the Messiah :D

i'm pretty sure with shitty tires like this, button will save 1 pit stop at some point at some race that'll grant him a race win or sth

so apparently there were problems with the kers in the mclarens in p3, but considering the bulls didn't use kers either, so... it doesn't matter, moving on.

Oh for the race Button is a big threat to everyone. Webber and Button both did a good job, but they didn't manage to squeeze that extra little part. But writing either off, no way.

I predict tomorrow

1. Vettel
2. Hamilton
3. Button

OR

1. Vettel
2. Button
3. Hamilton

The second scenario is if Button is much better at preserving the tires than Hamilton.

What are you all predicting?

I read an article saying Red Bull developped a different KERS, light and compact it would only be use to get a boost at the start!!!

I can't believe how strong McLaren is right now concidering where they were few weeks ago, MESSIAH!!!

If Vettel gets away clean out of the first corner he will be hard to beat. I doubt Lewis intends to let him lead out of the first corner so there could be drama there. The potential tire lock up so early could cost one or both of them, putting Button in the 'driver's seat' or Webber for that matter.

Paul.

They will all crash on turn 1 and alonso and massa will take the lead.
Period.
Maybe.
Perhaps.
I hope

Ha ha! For you, I hope so. It should be a great race whatever way it goes. This season is going to be interesting.

1.) Open BBC iPlayer, click 'TV', find 'Sport' on the bottom. Look for F1 coverage, but don't click on it yet.

2.) In a separate tab, Go to http://www.hidemyass.com/proxy-list/search-8 and copy one of the UK IP addresses without a 'PL' prefix next to it (PlanetLab), and remember its respective port number.

3.) If you are using Firefox, go to Tools, click on Options. Select the Advanced button, click on Settings. Check 'Manual Proxy Configuration' and paste the IP address along with the port number and click OK. (Each browser is slightly different, but Hidemyass teaches you how to manually enter your own IP address for your corresponding browser.)

4.) Click on the current F1 coverage offered on the iPlayer and see if it will load. Sometimes it is a hit or miss. You may need to do this several times trying to find a valid IP address, but I think it is worth the minor hassle of not having to catch it live or wait for someone to provide the race in a bit torrent/waiting for it to download etc..
