They did some outstanding performances when they were fighting with redbull alone but now that they have Ferrari to take care of as well it may be just too much for their car (notice that i said car and not drivers, what an ambassador am i? ).
On a sidenote I'm afraid for next year... what if the dumbarses in maranello only focused on this year's car?
you sir are a true statesman Honestly though, i'm kind of afraid for Massa....I'm thinking the prancing horse is about to drag out the guillotine

As sorry as i can be for him he had a very low season during his last year of contract so... business is business!
Kubica in a rosso corse car would be a dream. He's a real fighter and would reply to a team order with something "faster my ***, i was saving fuel".

Bortolotti would be another long term investiment too.

The fact is that i am 100% sure that other teams like redbull and mclaren may be more pilot friendly and like a family. That's not the case in ferrari where the weight of the name and the success that comes with it unfortunately comes before any kind of human relationship.
Think about eddie irvine, barrichello and now massa. Raikkonen left the circus because of the pressures i'm sure.

It will be tough for him to win the championship but if the equipment progresses enough, he'll be hard to beat.

Paul.
How was it Webber's fault? No where does it require him to slow down and let someone pass him. Webber was already on the curb and Hamilton still came over on him. It was a racing incident. Not hard to call at all. If he would have taken the corner like Kubica did when he was passing someone (can't remember who) then he would've had the position and would've still been in the race. I think it's pretty well-known that Webber won't make it easy to pass him. lol

That said, I'm all sorts of looking forward to Suzuka and I can't wait to see what happens there in terms of the race and the championship. This is the best season of F1 in a while!

Now it's time to fight? You should of been fighting 2 races ago. I have been crying every single day now, and I am going to dread the day if I have to come here to this forum if ALonso wins. Better be Webber or Hamilton, because with all my shxt talking this year , it better pay off.

Hamilton: Now is the time to fight
Hamilton limped out of the last round in Singapore with suspension damage after contact with Webber’s Red Bull, which stewards deemed a racing incident. The preceding round at Monza ended in similar fashion after he ran into Felipe Massa’s Ferrari; and he knows that Suzuka will punish any further errors.

“It’s a real driver’s circuit - you need to be committed and precise to do well there, and there’s no room for error either: no tarmac run-off, and all the barriers are pretty close, so any mistake is going to hurt your chances big-time,” he added.

Following Singapore, Hamilton dropped from second to third in the drivers' table and now has 182 points to Webber’s 202 and Fernando Alonso’s 191. With just four races remaining, and with McLaren struggling to match the pace of the Red Bulls and Ferraris, he knows he must attack in Japan.

“Now is not the time to hold back; now is the time to fight,” he concluded.

The Japanese Grand Prix at Suzuka takes place on October 08-10.

I cracked up when Alonso said much of the same. They should've been fighting all year. lol

I still think Webber has got this championship in the bag, but I want Alonso to take it. As long as it's not Vettel!

Felipe Massa has warned Ferrari that he will quit the team if they try to "turn him into another Rubens Barrichello".

The debate surrounding team-orders were thrown back in the spotlight at the German Grand Prix when Ferrari ordered Massa to move aside so that team-mate Fernando Alonso could claim the win.

The Italian outfit was fined by stewards after the race, but they were allowed to keep the points following a World Motor Sport Council hearing.

Massa, though, faced a massive backlash from the Brazilian media and many compared him to compatriot Barrichello who played second fiddle to Michael Schumacher during their time at Ferrari.

However, the 29-year-old Massa insists he's no No 2.

"One thing's for sure, Ferrari won't turn me into another Rubens Barrichello," he told Sport Bild. "If this happens, I will give up racing for Ferrari. I don't start any race hoping to come in second."

The matter is now closed, as far as Massa is concerned.

"I won't speak about it again except to say one thing, that I was definitely very disappointed.
Oh Massa, Massa, Massa. Talk is cheap, back up what you're saying with a result. You've had all season after all.

I see Massa not driving for Ferrari here soon. I'd be curious to see who picks him up and how shitty he'll do there.

Massa will always be a No. 1 - Ferrari

Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has insisted Felipe Massa is and always will be a No. 1 driver at his team.

Earlier this week Massa warned he was not happy to play second fiddle to Fernando Alonso in 2011 after di Motezemolo said the "decision to focus on Alonso [this season] has been proven to be right". But having talked to both his drivers by telephone ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix, di Montezemolo insisted he does not consider Massa as a No. 2 at the team.

I think people, in Brazil, are getting into Massa's head with foolish ideas.

harsh.....but I can't flat out disagree. The guy has been groomed by Ferrari since he stepped into F1 w/Sauber.....people are right to expect more out of Flip! I like the guy and I seriously hope he gets his **** together for next season, I can't see Ferrari keeping him if he performs like he did this year

I love how Ferrari keeps insisting they insult their fan base, by saying something this stupid.
I guess the No2. is the new No 1.

I think massa was great before his accident. I just think that there is bad energy at the Ferrari camp, and he just is not happy. If he isn't happy I can see that effecting his driving.
