WHEELS Mag have also published the NON starters for their 2006/07 COTY Award..January 2007 issue.

The cars that failed the cut....

Dodge Caliber
Fiat Punto
Kia Magentis
Volkswagen Caddy Life
Subaru Tribeca
Ssangyong Kyron
M Benz R Class
Hyundai Grandeur
Hyundai Accent
Jeep Commander
Peugeot 407 Coupe
VW Jetta
M Benz GL Class

Of the Dodge Caliber WHEELS Says...

"Poor Ergonomics,packaging,quality,performance and handling.
Will probably be a big hit in North America, then..."

Of the Subaru Tribeca WHEELS says...

"A disappointing effort from Subaru, as the Tribeca lacks the performance and handling
we've come to expect. Third row is very cramped, too."

I think Dodge is hopeing that when the SRT-4 version of the Caliber comes out, it will breath life into the line as it did with the Neon.

Pretty funny stuff these COTY NOT awards. I guess the Caliber SRT will be simply a fast version of this turd ... wags are saying it will be hot too Is the Legend the Accord? Makes sense as wasn't ours the one made 'special' for the discerning N American customer? And others get the 'real' normal size Accord? But the best is the rip on Subaru and the Tribeca aka the elephant nose SUV er ah probiscusmobile.

I think what is more concerning about the Caliber (have not personally seen one yet...just released here) by WHEELS Mag is that they are complaining about the ergonomics of the car....can't Dodge even get that right...ANY car manufacturer who gets that wrong should be avoided permanently..

The Caliber is awful....

The Versa isn't that bad. Drive the Chevy Aveo--that thing sux.

The Acura RL (Honda Legend) is overweight and looks like a big Accord that costs too much.
