Noice Focus.

Yes, mock me. i'm still buying a zx3 focus, but look at this pic and deny it's potential beauty.

and for *only* 20K i can install a 5 Litre Kugel Komponents V8 engine that leaves room for a twin turbo. aall with the weight of a focus.

that's a potential 1000hp focus!!!!! the engine swap alone is proved to afford me an extra 110 mph.

don't believe me? look

Cool Potential?

What has potential got to do with it?

Are YOU going to put that engine in? I think not.

My old Festiva 'potentially' could have a jet engine and afterburner, and 'potentially' could fly, with the Wing Kit......

I don't get it.

A V-8? With that much weight in the front wouldn't that thing flip over when you slam on the brakes?

Hey Formula 420, what is the fascination with a cheap car that is fast? I did the cheap/fast thing when I was younger because I was broke. But why dump $40K+ into an economy car?

the rally feel?? haha, bring over one of those magnificent RS Focus(es? right?) from continental europe... WAY BETTER CAR than a V8 conversion Focus... no contest, in my mind. then you actually DO get a rally feel, with super techno gearbox, AWD, lots of delicious Cosworth power.

the weight distribution doesn't change much 'cuase you're swapping a smallish 5.0L for both the 2.0L and transmission, but that doesn't mean 60f/40r is good. really man, if you're looking to get an ultimate focus (i drove one when i was learning to drive, i like them too), go for the euro RS ones. :D

won't that be the same car??

i'm just saying, get one of "those" (the STi and Evo killing Focusses) instead of a V8 conversion one.

So for 20k in mods you'll get a 110mph 1/4 mile trap, that's really not all that impressive. It's NOT an extra 110mph... Plus, if you like the rally feel you get a 4 cylinder turbo, not a V8. Lastly you seem to be under the impression you can just get ythe crate motor and everything will be just grand. That's not the case, you will need a lot of money in supporting mods. For about 3000k in mods you can get a WRX to run 12s and trap 115mph+ and you can get a 02 WRX for around 16k which makes the purchase price of the car with mods less than it would be for just the mods on the focus.

Okay, I somewhat get it. You work for Ford, so that means you can get a massive plan discount. On a Ford as well as a Mazda. But since Mazda doesn't make a rally car, you want a Focus. Still, $40K for a rally car that you make? I get the impression a WRX out of the box at $30K will come close and with $10K in mods will crush you.

What do you mean my pricetag is too low, are you saying the mods will cost more than 20k for the focus?
