No Formula 1 Race for the US in 2008
Because the average attendence for a F1 is 100,000... that is almost as many people as the nearest city has in population.
no way to support that many people coming into the area, well alone all the teams and media people as well.
just Nascar at infinion pushes it too capacity.

Speaking of 2008, Bernie found room in the provisional calendar to include Magny Cour, which never packs a crowd and which none of the manufactures (except maybe Renault) could give a crap about. Seems the French government ponied up the required Euros to keep the date. No provisional dates for Laguna, Vegas, or Indy (of course).

Awesome! I must have missed that they are coming back this year. Even if they don't, I definitely got my fill of wet-weather antics at the Nurbergring at least.
Just come up to Montreal for your F1 fix
It is the only NorthAmerican GP race left. We may even lose it due to tobacco advertising restrictions so come and see it while you still can.
The teams absolutely Montreal as a F1 city. The parties are legendary and the track is actually pretty cool. The race runs on a man-made island.
