A new New Mustang thred.

Took a ride today in a 2010 mustang cobra. Yep still don't much like the live rear axle. Also the shifter was a bit lacking...... 3rd is an easy miss. I really did not much like the interior..... I will say that with a grain of sand as this is 10,000 times better the the 07 I was last in.

This one was a Test mule provided to a friend of mine for the week. The traction control was stuck in on from the factory. I think the rev limit was not just where it should have been.

Some things I did really like. This is the Greatest mustang ever commonly sold to the general public. The engine is Insane! It truly drives and feels like a highly blown lower ish displacement V8 as it is. It has not the Ungodly power band of a Z1R but eah not much dose. I have never felt a Stang so light on its feet.

A few more small comments about this new Stang. It really looks better then most Stangs I have ever seen. The fit and finish is among best of most ford products out there.

After all is said and I have had some time to sit and think about it a few things come to mind..... #1 this is the best live rear axle to date in any car I have been in. #2 Is this really a mustang?. #3 fruk man this really is a mustang. #4 I lust for this engine in my old miata...... take it back I lust for this engine in my 8! #5 over all this is a Great improvement over the mustang equation. I would Proudly own this car. Hell cant get much worse mpg then the 8! I think I would receive my first speeding ticket at the ripe age of 27 in this car.

Eah I like it.... I really do... I am not in love with it. The control dynamics and direct feel are not there. The interior while much improved is still... still low rent and this is a 50k vehicle. I am truly impressed with the newly found lightness and toss ability rarely seen when in combination with a Honking V8 and solid rear axle.

+ It sounds cool!
