I love it--Hopefully when it meets production those cavalieresque headlamps will be tweaked--but its badass nontheless.

I like it a lot. Especially if it stays around XK8 prices. I like the color but not for real world driving. I think I'd have an accident if I saw that on the road.

:D They are aiming for 911 level performance reportedly. Rumoured close to 500HP R version. They did the damn thing with this one

500 Hp, drool, damn I love Jags.
I don't mind that Ford owns either company, both have become better since they merged. I have no qualms with the ford of today.

The front looks like a Ford Taurus. Pretty low Jaguar.

The rest of the car is gorgeous. I think they're looking back to the original ***** car, the E-Type.

Is this car built on the RX-8 platform? It looks like it to me.

In what way does it appear to be built on the RX8 platform?

I agree that it looks like an Aston. I think this is probably because the lead designed was Ian Callum, he designed the DB7 if irc.

Anyway, I'm excited. My dream car of late has been the DB9 but at $100k less (if at current XK prices), this would serve as a practical compromise if I ever get to that point...

I like what I see!

Doesn't the fender vents remind you of some other car?

Rolled onto the stage at the Detroit press conference launch with only one headlight working. Nice job reinforcing Jag's poor quality heritage!

Car looks like a DB9 (same designer) with an oval Jag grille. Headlight shape disappointing, similar to Tiburon...
