New Infiniti G37 Coupe Revealed (Pics)
330HP coming to an Infiniti dealer in August 2007. Looks nice. More rounded and organic than its predecessor. Pretty much the same work done on the sedan.
C&D liked the new G35, but said the engine needed some refining.

Heres what's sad!
When the RX-8 Came out it started with 250HP and now is down to 232HP
When the G35 Came out is started with 280HP and now is 330HP!!!!!
From what I read the zero to 100km/h will be under 5 seconds! Which might not be that impressive to some people becasue its only a second off. But the zero to 160KM/h will be 12seconds! and thats a 6 second difference vs the RX-8

while I am a big fan of the looks of the CURRENT G35c, this one I will say is a big "uglier"
smoother and more subtle is not what I'm liking. The current G35 i love its taillights because it screams "im a pissed off luxury car"
This car will have my attention when it comes out later this year - 330 horsies, yummy. I'm sure there will be a nice aftermarket as well - seeing as how the Z and this car are close relatives.

the current coupe can get in the 3600lb range when optioned out too. the base curb weight is probably in the 3500s, luxury equipments are heavy.

It certainly isn't as distinctive as the original was when it came out.
If Nissan/Infiniti can be faulted is that it's really not very groundbreaking or revolutionary.
We'll see how it drives come the middle of the year when the journalists get their hands on it.
Cars are just getting heavier and heavier due to the safety and luxury features that cars are getting nowadays. When a six speaker stereo used to be high end, now its a 12 speaker plus sub DVD/MP3/Bluetooth/iPod navigation system. A gazillion airbags and heated and cooled powered seats.

hope people realize that this is not a sports car? its a luxury grand tourer designed to offer both luxury comfort and sportiness for long trips... its a luxury car before its a sports car... bulimic people need not apply, theres always the lotus Elise in the same price range. im pretty sure curb weight is no where near the top of the list for the target demographics of this car.

Is this car supposed to be a redesign? They just took the current G35 and just exaggerated the lights!!! (It's not like I didn't see the concept pics, but thought I'd bring it up now. ) Whatever happened to the days when a car changed its look when it was due for a redesign? Inifiti's gotta stop with stealing the CLS lights and grille and they gotta be more creative with the rear bumper. Lazy designers...
