I like how they made it the dual exhaust like that. Looks like the 1 series a little in the rear.

nice car...the overall body styling and flow really reminds me of their cloth covered concept car

not bad-looking, less challenging than the current z4, which has grown on me. the weight kills it for me. maybe there'll be a soft-top version that gets back to the basics? otherwise, kinda not very bmw-like. maybe i'm confused, but i seem to remember reading rumors that there might be an even smaller roadster. if that's the case, then this makes more sense

Is it just me, or does the front remind you of a lion?

By that time there will be a new body style, and you will be saying the same thing

Would have to see something like this in person to give an accurate opinion but not liking the overall look. I like the looks of the car from about mid-hood back. The twin-kidney grill looks warped and stretched but still doesn't flow well with or look like it matches the rest of the car. Same with the head lights. This also makes the hood look ridiculously too long. The entire front is just too busy and soft looking. It's like they are trying too hard to make it pretty - that's what Mercedes-Benz's are for, return focus to the driving. The BMW's of a couple generations ago (and all the one's preceding) were somewhat conservative, strong-looking, a little utilitarian, evolutionary, had near perfect proportions, timeless, yet still sporty -very much German looking. What happened to that? The new generations of BMW's look too organic - not machine-like as did the previous BMW's. The 3-series is pretty much the only one left that holds on to this and this is clearly because they don't want gamble with their money-making series. The 1 series insn't bad because it holds on to the compact dimensions of the old 3 series and 2002. The previous Z4 looks much better than this but still like the M versions (coupe and roadster) of the Z3 better. I used to always hate the way M-B's looked and liked everything about BMW styling. Now it's getting closer and closer to being the other way around. Maybe I'm just getting old.

Yax, for some reason i love those older Z4 M's like your brother's. That weird *** shape is so unique, looks like some sort of jacked up, mutant insect or something.

The new ones (hardtops) i like even better.

I hear ya, jones... it's that "what in THE hell IS that???" factor. It's freakin' weird, but you know it's got that sports car stance, and you have to look at it again to figure it out. I like cars like with styling that. If you care, here's a link to more pics and the mods he has on it... http://368s.com/members/vehicle/Brian/2000-bmw-m-coupe

The new M-coupes are amazing too, but they're not as light and as "purely connected" a car the Z3 version.

I'd like to know what theyre going to do for the new Z4 as far as an M version. I'd like to drive one even more.

lol the z3 coupes. love them. shoes. i was actually considering the z3 m coupe when i bought my rx8. reliability for me won me over. and the ability to seat 4.

bmw = broke my wallet.

except e30s. man those cars can run forever.

and lol dan, i'd get used to that 300hp and 300ft/lbs VERY quickly.
