A Z4 M Coupe would make a fine replacement for my rx-8. Still liked the old Z3 M Coupe more though. Clown shoe FTW.

Close to 3500lbs for the 6-speed turbo? What a porker. And why does the NA model apparently have better aero management than the turbo?

BUT JESUS F%CKING CHRIST!! 4200 POUNDS???

Better looking than the last version. What is up with this horrible and confusing nomenclature with the new Z4 sDrive30i or 35i??

That's GVW of course, but 3500 curb weight for a vehicle in this class seems excessive. I'll be curious to see reviews, especially after the flaming Jeremy Clarkson gave the current Z4.

And "sDrive" is pretty stupid. Subaru already uses that name for their ECU mapping. I'm surprised they haven't had an issue with that...

It would be bad if it were 4200, but if you checked your math, you would see it is only about 3500 :p (which is still a pig, especially for a roadster)

3500lbs is still excessive. put me in there and a passenger. and you're looking at 3800lbs hurtling down the road.

why is mazda the only manufacturer dedicated to reducing weight? its such a NO BRAINER...

The Z dropped a few lbs. The vette is pretty ligthweight. And IIRC, the RX8 gained weight for 09...

Besides, the other companies have the power, especially tq, to make up for it.

According to Car and Driver, the R3 is the same weight as the 07 Grand Touring.

Looks like you're right. Either way, Mazda isn't the only one cutting weight.

Cutting weight is important. It gives better mpg's which is something all automaker's are looking out for.

Much nicer looking than the last one but not as beautiful as the expensive Z8.

I think it looks brilliant. Has a little viper coupe'ishness to it when the top is up. I'll just dream of a CSL coupe version...mmmmmm

I drove a Z8 w/red leather interior. It has to be one of my absolute favorite cars from styling to driving feel.

I still think the new Z4 looks like a baby Mclaren SLR. That's a compliment.
