A Mustang you may actually like...
"A single piece of glass forms the windshield and roof, which flows into the trunk lid,..."
just thinkin out loud....
I bet that sucker'd be expensive to replace. Who the hell came up with this idea anyway? And why?

My friend has a Scion tC and it has that same glass roof thing. It is terrible for handling, it makes a horrible rattle, raises the center of gravity alot. But it is apparently really safe, they have to go the extra mile to get it up to safety codes.
So... actually. I was thinking. If the Mustang were hot pink and had the same interior it did now in hot pink and white... I'd be super happy. Especially if the cow spots were heart shaped.

Ooooh shiznit! That I like on the current bodystyle. bascho, tell them that I love it. If they can add a little more backseat room... ala RX-8 (minus the doors)... I'd probably buy one.

They are keeping the next design really quiet on both the Mustang and the F150. I can't even pull a digital buck on either like I can for every other future design. I wish I had the clearance for the really top secret stuff around here
I too like that 70-73 retro concept.....wonder what the front looks like? I have plans to mod my tail lights with 67 Shelby lamps (aftermarket LED versions). They are pretty expensive though (total conversion is just under a grand).

The front... that is something I was wondering too...
67 Shelby tailight conversion? Oooh. What's that look like?

It does suck.....especially since I was able to see the S197 a few years early. I'm sure I'll have access to the DB's in a year or so.......hopefully.
No one makes a ready-made kit for the 05-07 Mustang yet. There is a website that sells replacement LED lamps with a panel to mount them in.
http://www.mustangproject.com/
The panel is for an actual 67 Mustang......but I've checked the dimensions and only a small amount of fiberglass work is needed to make it fit the 05-07. I don't have any pics of this done to an 05-07 as I think I'll be the first to do this.
that car looks very close to a Road and Track rendering of the 2010 mustang. I guess we should ask the ford employees what they saw at that ultra secret moral boosting event whereby ford showed them cars in the pipe between now and 2010.
If the new stang has that front end (which I' sure it will) and the basic proportions, it will give the new camero a run for its money big time.
Not sold on the interior, but that of course will change, its the front end I like and I'm glad that will likely stay.

Guess which two vehicles weren't shown in that meeting?

Damn it! You're making me want to get another Mustang... stop tempting me!
To me, this proves how uninspired the current Mustang's design is.
The interior is so-so and the seats cracked me up, but then again, the interior of the classic was so-so too.
The classic Mustang looked sleek, as if it was ready to pounce. The current design feels like an empty tin box forced to make it look like the classic, big and bulky. I think they gave it just enough design cues to pull on the heartstrings of people with nostalgia. On the other hand, Giugiaro's interpretation feels closer to the classic than the late model.
Lose the vertical doors and I give it a thumbs up for the exterior look.

This is what the Mustang should have looked like, I like it!
Like most, the rear is a bit odd but at least they made it shorter instead of the butt that never ends in the current Mustang.
I also see a tad of concept Camaro in the front, but I'd take one of these over the current one any day of the week.
