This 25yr old built a Bugatti replica on a 2002 Mercury Cougar coupe.

Horrible, why would you want to drive a replica?

Give the guy a little credit. Several of us mod our RX-8's. He just took a less interesting car and modified it to a greater extent. Dont pretend you wouldn't be impressed if someone took an FC and made a Furai

Kudos for making a Mercury interesting...

We don't mod our cars to resemble other cars...

I was more impressed with the work, I can only imagine the hours of labor it took to do it and I am sure he did not have a real one sitting next to him to replicate parts off of!

Yea it is a 2002 Mercury Cougar coupe.

But still!

he gets points for execution but its' gotta be HILARIOUS to hear that little 4 banger off the line.
Whenever I see an exotic sports car, I always roll down the window to hear their sweet exhaust notes.
This thing would surely surprise people (in the wrong way) when it takes off from a line.

The work that went into this definitely deserves a lot of respect. While I see the value in that level and amount of work, I don't think anyone with that kind of money would actually buy it. Unless there's just 1 guy that absolutely loves the veyron, it just seems ridiculous. You could get a lot of other great looking cars that are nicer all around for that price.

The FC is at least a performance oriented car. A furai replica on an FC with a good 13B build would be much more respectable, in my opinion. If it had a 3 rotor, then it would be really awesome.

A waste of time, money, and, most of all, talent.

The Bugatti only gets away with being that ugly 'cos it's fast.

Take away the fast, all you got is the ug.

It has a v6 actually, not that it really makes a huge difference lol.

Cougars are not bad cars, they have their share of problems but what car doesn't? I think they look good anyway.

Awesome bodywork, although pretty much agree with everyone here. The only thing is 99% of women that see the car probably wont know the difference, so good for him.

Your right on that, They see a sexy car and them ladies won't know the difference. I saw a Lambo Diablo Replica in Lake Tahoe, and the passanger door was tweaky, the lady had to go out on the driver side. It was a Fiero, the parking brake gave it away. According to the News Report the Bugatti Replica had Usable back seats which come in handy heh heh.

While the body looks great, anyone who drives this poser is asking for it. He should at least put a small block chevy in it.

Great job and the kid deserves credit. I do respect his time and effort.

However at the end of the day its still a cougar lol. Making a car look like a super car is kind of fail sorry.
