Miami Bugatti Sick looking replica!

This 25yr old built a Bugatti replica on a 2002 Mercury Cougar coupe.

That kid's talented, but a $90k cougar haha, I'll pass.

monchie 07-16-2011 02:00 AM

A Mercury Cougar? No thanks.

bse50 07-16-2011 02:57 AM

Horrible, why would you want to drive a replica?

RXeligion 07-16-2011 03:03 AM

Give the guy a little credit. Several of us mod our RX-8's. He just took a less interesting car and modified it to a greater extent. Dont pretend you wouldn't be impressed if someone took an FC and made a Furai:dunno:

Kudos for making a Mercury interesting...

We don't mod our cars to resemble other cars...

I was more impressed with the work, I can only imagine the hours of labor it took to do it and I am sure he did not have a real one sitting next to him to replicate parts off of!

Yea it is a 2002 Mercury Cougar coupe.

But still!

shakeyourbrakes 07-16-2011 08:42 AM

I want to see him convert a Bugatti into a Mercury Cougar..now that would be talent.

The absolute ULTIMATE SLEEPER!

Jedi54 07-16-2011 02:27 PM

he gets points for execution but its' gotta be HILARIOUS to hear that little 4 banger off the line.
Whenever I see an exotic sports car, I always roll down the window to hear their sweet exhaust notes.
This thing would surely surprise people (in the wrong way) when it takes off from a line. :uhh:

The work that went into this definitely deserves a lot of respect. While I see the value in that level and amount of work, I don't think anyone with that kind of money would actually buy it. Unless there's just 1 guy that absolutely loves the veyron, it just seems ridiculous. You could get a lot of other great looking cars that are nicer all around for that price.

The FC is at least a performance oriented car. A furai replica on an FC with a good 13B build would be much more respectable, in my opinion. If it had a 3 rotor, then it would be really awesome.

bassy 07-16-2011 03:45 PM

A waste of time, money, and, most of all, talent.

StealthTL 07-16-2011 06:57 PM

The Bugatti only gets away with being that ugly 'cos it's fast.

Take away the fast, all you got is the ug.

Deathwatch 07-17-2011 08:01 AM

I think he did a cool job, but he has high expectations heh heh. $$$$$$$90,000.00 at least he will get good gas mileage.

It has a v6 actually, not that it really makes a huge difference lol.

Cougars are not bad cars, they have their share of problems but what car doesn't? I think they look good anyway.

Rotr8 07-17-2011 08:12 PM

Awesome bodywork, although pretty much agree with everyone here. The only thing is 99% of women that see the car probably wont know the difference, so good for him.

Chad D. 07-17-2011 08:16 PM

I think it looks great.

My neighbour has a cougar and there are many similarities to our cars, not sayin I'd get one, but you know.

Juansito 07-17-2011 09:08 PM

Damn 9 months to make that?

Thats 10k a month if he sells it -- not bad!

NYC Drift King 07-17-2011 09:58 PM

Thats an amazing accomplishment for a Joe shmo....

Your right on that, They see a sexy car and them ladies won't know the difference. I saw a Lambo Diablo Replica in Lake Tahoe, and the passanger door was tweaky, the lady had to go out on the driver side. It was a Fiero, the parking brake gave it away. According to the News Report the Bugatti Replica had Usable back seats which come in handy heh heh.

TALAN7 07-20-2011 04:26 PM

While the body looks great, anyone who drives this poser is asking for it. He should at least put a small block chevy in it.

Rotary-RX8 07-20-2011 04:30 PM

Great job and the kid deserves credit. I do respect his time and effort.

However at the end of the day its still a cougar lol. Making a car look like a super car is kind of fail sorry.

Geesh, I would put a 20B 3 rotary in it.

A Vortex would be cool, It's a strong engine.
