Yes...and I really liked it, if I could afford it that's the family car I would get for my wife.
It looks basically the same inside but looks higher class, sorry I didn't take pic's inside.
I'm actually going to contact Mazda about the Mazdaspeed6's tail. I really like the spoiler in the back. That's the exact tail I want for my 8.

Ohh, my little sis and brother both said that the Mazdaspeed6 made the Legacy GT (nice car on it's own) look crappy. For the price...they would take the MS6 any day over the Legacy GT.
It has twin exhaust pipes in the back (pretty big) and I'm really impressed that Mazda did such a good job with it.
Now...COME ON MAZDA, how about the MS8!!!

As some know... my only grips about the MS6 is the height of the hood and the black plastic wannabe diffuser on the back bumper. Otherwise it's pretty nice. I'd have preferred Mazda to have built it on the 5 door platform (and a lack of AT options are major JDM mag complaints).
Nicer than the Legacy... I dunno. Need to see both in black in person. The Legacy GT in black looks elegant... goes with a suit and tie.
As far as the interior goes... it's the same as the rest of the 2006 Mazda6 line except for the white/black leather seat option. Price... I was just checking it out last night on Mazda USA's site... the 6s with leather costs about the same as the MS6?! Hands down winner... MS6.

Nice! Thanks for posting pics rx8wannahave!
I tell you what, I'd take a hood with girth over a letter deposit box Subaru calls a scoop (a la WRX) any day!

No Prob RA-Eight...
I really like the Legacy GT, but for the price I'd take the MS6. Think of it...they both cost the same yet the 6 has better interior space as a family car AND...the subie don't got ZOOM ZOOM.
I'm glad that Mazda brought this car out, now Mazda offers me the AWD car I might need one day if I ever moved to the North. But...that's what a FL guy thinks about the north, I see alot of northern 8's have no prob in the snow with the right tires.

That mazdaspeed was supposed to be mine but we could not come to an agreement on the price and financing so i got an rx8 instead. But me and my friends that work at mazda was able drive the car and it handled like a champ. We also got to take it to an empty street somewhere in orlando

^cool...you lucky dog, must have been fun! Don't worry...the 8 will not disapoint!
Yeah, it was a 4 door 4 seat Crossfire sadan type thing. You know, I realize the looks are a little out there but at the same time I liked it. I’m tired of the same old box on wheels and generic styling of most family sadan’s and I would not mind seeing that car on the road. It’s very classy looking (while odd also) and looks like it came from Gothom city…lol.
Yeah, I really like that tail but I’ll have to do more research to see if it fits on the 8 and like you said…the thing about the light.
If it’s not too expensive and fits, that’s the tail that will be going on my 8. If anything…maybe it can be modified to work with the 8.
I think when I take my 8 in for an oil change (soon) I'll ask them about it. I'll take my tape messure with me and hopefully I wont look too weird...lol.
a CROSSFIRE
I'm 100% with you. I've been looking for something exactly like that for my Evo RS. If it's not too much trouble can you update this thread, start another thread or PM me after you talk to Mazda. I'm assuming cost will be high because it looks like, judging from the video you took, there is a brake light assembly inside the lip. Oh well. It's really good looking IMHO.

i drove the mazdaspeed 6 last week, and must say my initial impressions were positive but mixed...definitely has a lot of pickup, inside it looks like the standard 6 but refined (i like the 6's interior), didnt really get to tear up the handling, however on the highway its even worse than the 8 in sixth gear. We openned up the hood, and the thing feels like its made of lead...it is extremely heavy. I would consider this car.

^lol...your right, that was a mixed review...lol
I'm guessing the highway comment means it's rpm's are pretty high for highway cruising????
If that's the case, MAZDA what in the world are you doing???? Dang nabbit...a highway cruise (70-80MPH) in low rpm's is the Holy Grail of highway fuel economy. This is not a new concept or secret information...
COME ON MAZDA!
