Good riddance B series, hello Mazda2!

Paul.
Screw B-Series. no one buys it.

Isnt it a little too late for Mazda tho? I mean Honda and Toyota has been selling their "small car" for over 2 years. sheesh. Damn Mazda. get ur fat *** moving!

I'll buy this for my mom

Seriously, I was in the UK earlier, I thought the car was great! My uncle was actually thinking of buying it cause its soo small and cute and real good on gas!

Thumbs up for Mazda for Finally putting this in the US. Looks much better and is faster imo than the honda Fit.

EDIT: Nycgps, thats what I thought too. Why the hell did it take them so long?

Look.
Mazda 6 goes against Accord, Camry, Altima etc
Mazda 3 goes against Civic, Corolla, Sentra etc.
Mazda 2 (finally)goes against Fit, Yaris, G3 or wtv it's called
There was a giant hole for them that they didnt fill. How would it take away from mazda 3 sales? They are in a totatally different segment. Does the Fit take away sales from the Civic? No. Does the Yaris take away sales from the Corolla? No. So then wtf did it take them so long to do this when they obviously saw nothing, or NOT much will change in sales. All they are doing is adding a great car to their brand. Sometimes they take soo long it's nearly too late.

its the pricing. they worry that outfittting it with what people would consider must have standard features would put it so close to in Price to a low grade 3 that people would opt for it over that low grade 3

And you will get the face-lift "happy" one....out soon in Singapore and the rest of the world.

Mazda has the capacity now with the new AutoAliance Plant in Thailand where the 2 and Ford Fiesta will be made.

Lame, but probably a smart business decision if its competitive with the fit, versa, and other crappy midget wagons

I'm begging you mazda: please make a lightweight, two-seat, RWD, hardtop coupe thats nice to look at and not a miata (wheres my kabura?)

...waiting for the haters to crap on this thread. :D I really liked the old front end, I bet with then new one they're going to change the mounting points for the front bumper like they did with the 8. If not you're going to see some folks do their "JDM" conversions by switching to previous gen haha :D

This would be a good car for Mazda to "test" the waters with diesel reception, but I'm sure they won't do it. With its size, it could hit 50 MPG easily, and be a nice quality ride. I guess VW will still continue to keep all that money for themselves.

Sure taking a long time to get here considering it's been out in Europe for awhile. Just like the VW Golf that seems to arrive in Europe 2 years before it gets here. Lame.

Well I think we still like things too big...see current 6, Accord, crossovers, etc. The Euro 6 is so much better than the bigger US 6.

Which are you talking about with the 50 mpg comment? The diesel gets well above 50 and the gasoline gets pretty close to 50.

Did you mean rx-7's in general? The FB was definitely a light, 2 seat, rwd coupe and the FD wasn't a whole lot heavier than the FC... at least not enough where I would include the FC but exclude the FD.

The FD was actually *lighter* than the FC
