Mazda Hakaze Concept Revealed
The front looks like Sound Waves mouth from the old school Transformers Series.

Ufff... that front is pretty bad, I like the soundwaves comparrison (I'm hopeing the new movie doesn't blow). Outside of that, the rest looks very European... like a mix of a new mazda2 and mazda3. It's not a car aimed at me, but it looks alright (except for that front).

The front end is strange. It creates interesting lines throughout the car though. If you look at the back, it resembles the back of the last 2 concepts as well.
My favorite thing about this car is actually the color. That is the best looking yellow that i've seen in a long time.

...also, it looks like a 4 seater. Ummm, Mazda...4 seater is great for a sports car but for almost everything else it's more of a pain than anything.
I agree, Mazda is not wowing me with some of this stuff. Why not come out with a RX8 concept instead of more and more cars from 2030?

I like the angle from the side.... and sorry to say, I do like the doors.
If I had a loft-dwelling girlfriend that lived in the middle of the city and designed cool unique furniture, I think she would like this car cross-over. But I don't have one of those types of girlfriends.
Also, to the person who mentioned the designer of the Kabura... he works for Mazda North America and he was the primary designer of the Nagare. His name is Franz Von Holzhausen

...the dude also designed the Solstice.

So what would be the purpose of adding a 4 CUV/SUV to Mazda's lineup? I'd prefer to see something along the lines of that last concept they had. Looked like a hatchy sedan or something.
If Mazda wants to add to their line-up they should add a large sedan or a 4 seat convertible. And of course the Kabura.

From TFA:
"It expresses Nagare "flow" on the outside with sand-dune like surface iteration...and insightful functionality to meet the demands of adventurous lifestyles like kite-surfing"
Um, WTF? Sand dunes? Kite surfing? Seriously, WTF. Sounds like a lot of marketing BS talk trying to justify a crappy design.
Mazda needs to fire this Franz von David Hasselhoff loser, and I can't believe I'm saying this, take a lesson from Dodge and Ford. Specifically the Viper and GT respectively -- make concept cars that are things people actually want, then people will shove money in your face and demand that you build it. Instead, Mazda's got people scratching their heads and wondering what they're smoking.

it 's an ok design, but still just another suv-ette aka 'crossover'
. Mazda is stuck in a really wierd place with these word-anagram clone concepts.
