IRVINE, Calif. — Mazda Motor worked overtime on Wednesday, trying to quash widespread media reports that it was putting an end to incentives on its U.S. models.

"There is no truth to it," Mazda spokesman Jeremy Barnes told Inside Line. "Our intention is to minimize incentives, but we will continue to use incentives."

eh mazda does stealth incentives anyways, they sneak dealer cash out at the end of the month to move cars all the time and by the press picks up on it the deals are over and gone.

I hav been around to a few delearships in the area that still have a couple of New 2005 RX-8s. When i asked them what the price difference would be between the 2005 and 2006 since they had no price change on the sticker price, the sales manager and the sales associate both said that they were offering a $7k rebate on the 05 so they can get rid of them. I mean I understand that because they have to get ready to make room for the 07s in alittle bit. So all i need to do now is work my *** off so i can buy one of those 05s lol.

 

Hmmmm..... as a MazdaComp participant I used to be eligible to purchase an RX-8 for S-Plan pricing. Wonder if that's gone by the wayside. Anyone know the current status on S-plan?
