Mazda 2 wins World Car of the Year Award

Looks like I beat Zoom44 to the punch.

oh and Mazda NA execs are now saying they are "looking into" the possibility of bringing the 2 here

Good... they really should bring it over. I would also like to see if they will make/bring over something like a CX-5 (for the girlfriend, not me) in the future. I love the styling of the CX-7, but now more than ever I'm factoring gas prices into my future car purchases.

I will hold my small car purchase until Mazda gets off their butt and bring the 2 over here, Oh yeah, and dont' forget about the diesel engine either..

No joke here. i hate both the fit and yaris. They look outdated and the interior designe is not attractive at all.
MAZDA NORTH AMERICAN LISTEN if you are. BRING THE 2 I WILL BUY IT.

The 2 would really cause some trouble in the small car market. I think the competiton is nervous at the thought. I know what it's like to operate on a strict budget (Completely different scale) and hopefully that isn't deterring Mazda NA from bringing it here.

yeah and with Ford having the Fiesta which I think may be based off the same platform it would be hard for Mazda to be allowed to bring that to the US to compete with the dying motor co...
