This is a little old but I just want to point out this is what I would expect if Mazda expects to kill the Rx-8 and go for a new generation of Rx-7. The designs cues are similar to our Rx-8s from the fenders to the side vent. The biggest difference if the front bumper but does anyone else see it?

for some reason that pic reminds me of the new gtr's prototype pics

 

The GTR reminds more too much of a bit a bulky car like the 350Z. This has a lower profile and without an extremely large looking hood.
