^ The Kabura is a much more complete design for a concept vs the Evolv.....so much so that it really looks as though Mazda intends to build this car. Not my style as the RX8 is already smaller than anything else I've owned, but a very nice looking car indeed.

I know some rotary loyalists will take offense to this comment, but the Kabura would be better off without a rotary engine.

ohh now you've done it

both i say! MX-3 and RX-3. sell many many boat loads as the MX-3 (and new Ford Probe) and satisfy the rotor heads with a new RX-3. they'll sell every one they make

^^ sorry, but if Mazda is truely watching these forums, then I want them to know my true opinion. The Kabura would be better off with the current inline 4 cyl from the MX5. If this car is truely going to be marketed to Gen-Y'ers....then fuel economy is a huge concern. Mazda has already proven that they cannot make the rotary economical......which is fine for people that have the income to spend $28-33K on the RX8. The Kabura will be competing with cars from Toyota and Honda in the $20K price range which offer performance and fuel economy.....the rotory cannot deliver that.

That is wishful thinking. Mazda already has to offer thousands off sticker at the end of the year to clear RX8's off dealer lots.......which, by the way, is taking longer than expected resulting in Mazda pushing back the release of 2006 model so far into year 2006 that it might as well be a 2007. And what has this long wait been for........a few new colors

ther were "issues" that had to be taken care of at the plant. and no for a new 6speed auto fitted to teh high power engine. there was also soem pushign by Mazda japan for th eUS to still sell the standard power with the 4speed as aprice point . MNAO had to push back hard to not accept that.

the RX-3 would have much fewer built than the MX-3. and cost a K more or so.

Disclosed issues to the associated press? or is that just Mazda BS?

both. a small "jump seat" suitable for short term adult use. longer term child use or child seat use. fold it down and its flat with the load floor of the hatch area

I like the sliding rear door and gigantic front/roof windshield... this would make a great new Mazda 5... but never a 7.

Thats probably referring to how the plant burned down. I thought that was the reason for the large delay in production.

Has this been confirmed or is it speculation/wishful thinking?

I quite like it. I wouldn't mind those rims on my 8 either.
