An exciting Hungarian Grand Prix...
Wow, that was the most dramatic race of the season. Both Alonso and Schumacher retired with problems. Raikkonen used the back of Liuzzi's car as a ramp. Did anyone else watch the F1 race?

Yeah, I guess so. Rest assured I was up before you, and had other things to do, so I recorded it. All it would have taken is to name the thread "Hungarian grand prix results". But that would have been downright reasonable, and considerate.

Indeed it WAS a dramatic race. I'm happy for Button but recognize that his win isn't likely representative of his being truly competitive... He out-raced, and Honda out-strategied, all the cars that remained after the fastest cars dropped out for various reasons. Believe me, I'm not saying the win isn't deserved, it's just not realistic to expect Honda (or Button) to be right up there in the thick of it for the remainder of the season. It sure was good to see a wet-dry-wet-dry race for the first time in what seems like years.
Lots of action, though, and the action didn't stop when the race was over. For those who haven't read this yet, Kubica's BMW was DQ'd from 7th place for being 2kg underweight in post-race inspection, elevating Massa and Schumacher to 7th and 8th, respectively. This means Ferrari are now only 7 points behind Renault for the constructor's cup, and Mikey is now 10 behind Alonso for the driver's title. Ol' Spoonface and Ferrari are praying to the F1 gods that it doesn't rain again this season, I'll wager... The Bridgestones were hopeless in the wet.
Oh, and Villeneuve is out of F1. Again.

De la Rosa did have to take some time to pass Schumacher, but that circuit itself is hard to pass on. There are only 2 real passing zones. And yeah, I knew Villeneuve's career was over after I watched Kubica in qualifying. I wonder what's going to happen to Scott Speed. Since it was just announced that Webber will drive for Red Bull, I don't think they'll have room for Speed.
