I've got that same model supra. White 1990 Mk3 turbo, love the car, just wish it was lighter. It's like a japanese muscle car. Suspension was tuned by lotus, who're also doing the suspension on the new skyline gt-r according to rumors. If you've already got an rx-8, I don't see why you want anything else. If I could afford an rx-8 I'd ditch the supra in a second. The supra's great just because it's turbo from the factory, bpu and you've got a nice amount of power before everything starts to break. Wish it had bigger brakes too.

There's a 94 mr2 turbo for sale in my neighborhood ... everytime I walk by it I really want to buy it. I can't afford it though. There's a turbo II around my block that I always drool over too. If that one was for sale, I'd sell the supra and buy it as soon as I could.

I'm an idiot though, I don't even care if it runs and I never have time to fix all the odds and ends that need to be addressed. I'd have 19 cars if I had the space to store them. I should just have a drinking problem, it'd be cheaper.

Nice to see people talking about the starion/conquest. I personally own two of them. I have a bone stock 87 red one (my first car), and a nicely modded 88 one. It's a nice looking car, and is cheap speed. My 88 starion will absolutely rape my rx8 I must admit. It's not even close, and I didn't have to spend that much money to make it fast. The real money went into cosmetic restoration. I will say though that the car had serious problems, and reuires a lot of patience and maintanence to own one. I know people who are running 12s with them. They are deceiving cars though when you modify them. If you run high 13s on a starion, you will be able to take out most mid 13s cars form a rolling start. Once moving, the car is just a beast, and fery few newer cars can take it without heavy modding.

They DO look like an Escort! I had a friend with a '88 5.slow, and he always talked it up like it was the hottest thing on the road. He would never refer to it as anything but "my Mustang 5.0". As in:

* Hey, we could take my Mustang 5.0!
* My Mustang 5.0 is almost out of gas.
* I think I left my wallet in my Mustang 5.0.

It's not like it was modified or exceptional in any way. In fact, it was a bit of a rusty pile. But to him, it was a powerhouse ride, and that's cool. I never called him out on it, but boy it was funny.
