Igintion coils at 100,000 Miles

here's a general question, not relating to the 8

My igintion coils have over 100,000 miles on them, Will I notice a performance improvement if I were to replace all of them for the same ones?

You got them to last that long? Amazing. My were choking at 35k. Yes, you should replace, pretty easy DIY job too..

What kind of gas mileage do you get?

This question is relating to a GM product everyone!

anyway, I changed the coils with the spark plugs so I dont know if it made a difference or not. But my butt dyno tells me my truck is just as fast in the straight away as the 8

After doing some research on a used boxter, a rather get a new Rx-8 instead. From what I found out, the boxster is going to "leak" sooner or later between the transmission and the engine, Reparing it is going to be very costly. And besides the performance isnt that great vs the Rx-8 anyway!

Seeing that a coil is actually a wire wound tube.....it should not ever go bad unless the workmanship/quality is bad.
