ehh, before the 8, i was going to get a 98 supra turbo. But i took the chance with rotaries and love it and never will replace it. the new supras look great though but i still love the styling of the mkIV for some reason over this one even though it has similarities with the mkIV. Just my 2 cents on the subject

Nice...but still too pricy (for me at least)...so I honestly can't care about this car other than being happy for Toyota which does not have alot of fire in their belly right now.
The only cars that I think "might" have a chance to be my next car are:
EVO X
Camaro
or....just put a Turbo on my 8 and call it a day, lol. What ever happens...if the rear seat work, I'd consider it. I think...I need a 3 car garage.

If everything we are hearing is true, Toyota will have a car that'll eclipse the performance of the Nissan 350z, Mazda RX-8 and Honda S2000

I loved the last Supra, but this new Supra will share platform and engine with future Lexus vehicles I think.... I just cant get over that, I want an unique vehicle, not just styling, I want every major parts of a car to be unique (engine, chassis...), guess I'll have to wait for Mazda's next rotary sports car.

I believe that this is also platform sharing with the IS series. I didn't read the JDM mag article carefully... just a light skim. BUt.... IS500 is going to sport a V8 in that power range and the engine may also be used in the Supra....

I used to own several expensive cars (almost double the new supra), and I can tell you right now that it's something you either do because you're 1) stupid. 2) wealthy. or 3) all of the above. Car's just aren't worth it. That's why I bought the RX-8. Wasn't too costly, gave me what I wanted.

The way I look at it - the cost of switching cars and depreciation is about what a FI kit would cost installed.
I’d like to get my hands on a Chevy V8 at least once in my life, so that’s why I’d be open to change. Just like I wanted a RX at least once in my life. The EVO X…well, that’s an option since it has bigger rear seats for the little guy….while REALLY FAST for his daddy, lol.
Mostly…this is talk, it would be great to rest from a car payment for 5 years or so.
