It's funny that Camry came up in RX8 forum. There was a on-going discussion in one of the forum I posted where a guy has Camry V6 and GT3000 thinks his Camry is in every way better than my 2008 RX8.

He brought out the fact that V6 Camry 0-60mph is faster than RX8.

I didn't bother with that idiot. But many ppl defended for RX8 in that comparison.

I'm being serious here - wouldn't a V6 Camry or 09 V6 Mazda6 or Altima V6 at least sort of keep up with a 350Z, even?

Car companies are packing so much hp in their front drive family haulers it's hard to understand how they're not going to embarrass their halo cars.

^ I always believe a car is about handling not just 0-60.
When a car like Camry drives without feeling, it's not "driving". It's "moving".

That's why I finally came back with MT RX8

yeah man, that light just started coming on/off and it sucks. i'm less in a hurry now that i know it's just a sensor thing and not a real problem, but yeah i need to get it. i am closing on a house though in mid-july so all expenses are at a COMPLETE standstill til that's over!! that includes the new wheels and tires i had picked out BUT i did finally get my MS side skirts installed!

Too bad the Mazda 6 doesn't come with an MT option for the V6. It would be pure win. The V6 auto is pretty damn quick though man. I think it coudl take my 8.

Had a Camry loaner when my 8 was in the shop, the body roll almost made me crash when I went for a pass. The was probably a 07 or 08 Camry with the 4 cylinder. Why people buy this instead of an Accord or almost anything else is beyond me.

On topic: If a camry were to race any of us in a straight line and there was a dip some where along the way - that camry would KICK ALL OF OUR ASSES...HANDS DOWN.

Camry Stock Suspension > rx8 stock Suspension (in regards to handling dips)

Renesis Se3p proved that to me the other day....I think

I think the time has come to start inquiring about Renesis Se3p and his alleged connection, however tangential, to a said Toyota Camry, model year and ownership status admittedly unknown.

lol. after all, that was more of a forum for good deal around Canada. Not a very car oriented forum.

I posted it there because it was such a good deal for RX8, didn't know it end up with an idiot bashing rx8 with he's V6 Camry that goes 0-60 a little faster than rx8 and think Camry is more Sporty car than RX8.

Did he rent a Camry, too?

What I'd like to know is if there's anyone around here who actually owns a Camry.

It was even rumored that someone did and swapped out the famous Toyota 2.4 liter for a 16b rotary.
