WOWOWOWOWOW! That car is so awesome! It's so fast and sleek I love it. I now know what I am going to get when I can afford it! Man, I had chills after I drove it. To tell you the truth, it is my friend's dad's Lotus. He bought it last week and asked me if I wanted to take it for a spin. (He loves my 8 and tells me all the time) Something that really suprised me was how low the car sits. You have like 6 inches from where the side of the car is to where you sit. It's very hard to get in and out of. But, man, it was incredible! He said that since the rubber on the tires is so soft he has to replace them every 3k miles! That's insane but awesome at the same time! Also, you only have to press the clutch in about 3 inches. It was so smooth, and Lotus claims the car can redline at 10k. WOW! I cannot wait until I can buy one for myself! It was yellow just like this one! Man, it was incredible!
10k? i thought it was the same motor as the elise, which is more or less the same, minus tuned ecu, from the old celica gt-s? so doesn't it redline at like 8200 or 8500? just curious. sounds like an awesome ride though...
Well on the tach there was no redline and it went up to 10k. I also asked the owner and he said that Lotus claims 10k, but that the engine would be fried before that.

But just to think having that thing for TOY its a dream!!! Sounds like a awesome ride!
i see elises all the time in the neighborhood where i work... i don't go to the track, so i can't say that i know how many elise owners drive there.

yeah its for car enthusiats not your everyday joe. In fact they had to install an AC an cup holders before they sold them in America, cos without that they didnt how many fat americans would buy it.
In the UK and the rest of the world its sold without those.

If Lotus cancelled Toyota as its engine supplier and instead went to Mazda for its renesis, then I'm in fer sure. The 190hp fades off at real speeds, even in a sub 2000 pound car.
I saw a test with a S2000 engine in it, and it ripped (was an Elise).
The little toyo doesn't get close to 10RPM, or 9. I think 8-8200 is the max.
