Bring it on. What has been offered here in the States as a compact/small pickup by the American manufacturers over the last 20 years or so has been horrendous. I just don't see how this wouldn't sell if the fuel economy is decent and the price is competitive - seems like a much better alternative to something like the Ford Ranger or Colorado/S10. What a fun little 'sleeper' a nicely tuned V8 version would make.

Yeah, then Pontiac GXP after the slow sales of the GTO, then I think now a Chevy Caprice police car or something like that. Isn't the current Camaro built on a modified version of this platform, too

I have said for years the only thing I would replace either my 8 or my Jeep with would have to either be a new rx7 or a freaking ute! I have wanted something to haul my stunt bike that can still get decent highway MPG and have some power to play with. Looks like I need to start saving the pennies for an SS ute baby!

The Ford and Holden Utes have their own race series here in NZ, it's really popular
especially since they are really tailhappy, V8 in the front, no weight at all in the back
