Question help, car wont start

I have a 1999 cavalier that suddenly wont start. There is a ticking sound coming from the glove box area. It boosted once to get it home and now boosting will not start it. It makes no sound at all when I turn the ignition. Have checked the starter and battery connection and seems fine. Someone told me it could be some kind of relay switch in the dash but have no idea how to check it or access it.

battery shows charged and you can only jump start it?

you need to load test the battery to see if its dead or not.

If the battery is charged and the starter is clicking, you probably have a loose cable at either the battery or starter connection.
If the battery is charged and the starter does nothing, look for the fuse/fusible link to be blown.

You are asking a rotary forum about a Cavalier. Don't expect any specific help. You would be better off on ChevroletForum.com for help.
