Did I read that right?

You bought an STI and you're going to put all-seasons on it?

Nice STI. Cool color. I still don't like the pink lettering, huuuuge hood scoop, and the interior (dash mostly), but everything else (all wheel drive, engine, etc) should make for a very fun commuter. My brother bought one of the first ones to come out (yes, he got screwed price-wise), and I did get to drive it. That thing flies and handles real well no doubt. A little bumpy on less than perfect surfaces, but not intolerable. Good job.

I may love both the rx8 and Sti, but I know which car you drive in snow and which one you don't drive in snow. I bought the sti for it's pure power, but I also want to use it as fulltime winter car. The gas mileage is a ton better then rx8 (25mpg 80% highway on first tank) compared to rx8 (still have yet to reach 20mpg). Let me make one thing clear here. The rx8 is by far a better overall car then the sti. If you look at everything, the rx8 gets the nod. I can clearly see why non performance enthuiasts test drive both and totally dislike the sti. It's meant to be bumpy, loud, and just GO. In this world though, performance means so much, so that's what puts the sti on the map in elite cars. I drove the sti for 4 days straight, then today I hopped in the rx8. I felt like I just hopped in a nissan maxima, by the way the car felt. the suspension is so much softer, interior so much quieter, and when you sit in it, you realize it's worth every penny. Then you get in sti, and you aren't blown away by it's stunning looks and it's superb interior. the handling of sti is definitely better then rx8, but it's because of that rock hard suspension. You start driving, you feel every single bump, you here lots of road noise, you have to shift fast and let off gas to prevent car from taking off on you, and you realize you are in a true performance car. I admit the rx8 feels like a DOG compared to this car. I step on gas and wondered why I wasn't taking off. Night and day cars. I'm glad I have both. This way I don't have to worry about the MS version. For those of you waiting on the ms version, be prepared to feel the road and perform like the sti, only look so good doing it.
