My recommendation: Make the rear Subaru emblem red just like the front one is

I am not much of a subaru fan. Minor flare and that pic is priceless.
It is still a downgrade.

lol thanks guys..

downgrade or not, i'm happy, and that's all that matters. I don't really care if you're a subaru fan or a mazda fan. I love cars, so i thought i'd give another car a try.

I'm not a big fan of Subaru, but I've always liked what they've done to their cars...especially the awd and turbo features. I'm paying off my car next month and will start saving to buy the new 5.0 Mustang. I had an '02 Mineral Grey Premium GT Convertible prior to buying my 8, but, I'm planning on keeping the 8. No way I'm getting rid of it. I love it too much.

so that's why you didnt care for any financial advice/commentary! siiiiiiiiiigh o well

my brother had a base WRX...it has a little more power but it always felt slower, plus the turbo gives it a very constrained-feeling powerband. I dont know what that tranny swap youre talking about does, but I hope it feels tighter than the stock one....the stick always felt horrible. Not trying to bash it, just commenting. It's a really well made and strong-performing car, I always just felt the 8 was a class above in style and passion.

I always wondered how the right exhaust made those 2.5L 4-bangers sound like huge v8's!!

Hope it works out for you!

Awesome car! Very different feel to the RX8's streamlined design, but its real cool in its own right. I always loved the beefy look of wrxs, gotta love those bulging fenders

Congrats on the new car gh8st. Change is a good thing. Your so young, who knows; when your older and become uber successful, mabye you'll buy another 8 just to remind you of the good old days. But change is good. My deal fell through with the M6, but there will be some thing else for me hopefully in the near future. I'll invite you to our next meet since you were'nt able to come this Sunday. I wanna see if the wrx can hang on Bear MTN with us lol.

Haaate that car with a mad passion, mostly because the interior is so ridiculously cheesy. My friend owns one and i feel like im getting into a toy car everytime haha. But Subaru definitely makes one fast car. You won't be getting smoked by anyone off the line anymore hahaha. And this ones exterior doesn't look bad. Get some wider wheels or spacers though, subbies look good flush Congrads though man, i know you'll do good things with it. Not a fan of the car, but I understand why people buy it

HAHAHAHA yes the interior is not so nice.. but i have a pioneer AVIC D3 so it makes up for it.. the rx8 interior is unbeatable at that price man.. can't compare the two! the 8 is definitely the more refined machine, i just wanted something with some raw power =) thanks zach! i appreciate it

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here, but if you're saying that wrx is a downgrade from the 8, then those comments are kind of ridiculous. Pretty much the only way I can see it being considered a downgrade is looks and that's just opinion. Performance wise, it's different at best. Most likely a little better.

I'm looking at doing a similar trade soon. I'm looking into the older audi S4's with the bi-turbo engines... those are a lot of fun as well.
