I've been offered a Mercedes 450 SEL (1977 model), it drives well but when I turn the steering wheel hard to the left, I notice a squeak noise.

No noise on sharp right turns.

Sounds like some rubber part is hitting something else. If it is not the CV boot, what else could it be?

Thanks for your input, I'm going over there later today to check it out.
