Great adventure and machine! I've driven' bimmers on Germany's autobahns a number of times and there's nothing like it. Enjoy!!

Believe it or not, the bimmer has a spot in the trunk that was made for a fire extinguisher. I need to go buy one asap. lol

I carry a small fire extinguisher in every vehicle, right under the driver's seat, 'cause as I'm sure you now well know Rotary Rasp, anything can happen!

But not to a bimmer of course.

Oh, I thought you said fuel light - my bad. So, you did the Mazsport Ignition to move the fuel line. I'm going out and check mine right now.

that's an amazing trip. i saw the same things you did, besides the "owners" restaurant. on my trip in the summer, i went to the mercedes museum and factory, porsche museum, and bmw museum and factory. to top it off, i worked for Ruf for 3 weeks (it's right near you were too...at the castle). anyways, i have to do this again when and if i get a new bmw.

I really wanted to do more traveling but this trip was sort of unplanned. And I did it during the semester so I couldn't miss too much school.

I'm itching to go back!

That is one of the coolest stories I've ever heard. Everything happens for a reason and I'm happy you got to have a once in a lifetime trip like that as your reward!

this is the problem i have with BMW... I can't decide which one i want!
The 335 is gorgeous but big.
The 135 is decent looking but small and sporty..
AHH!

Nice shadowline grills btw and that color looks fantastic on the 335, but terrible on the 135.. so weird!

What a great story. Great pics too, btw. After watching you work on the 8 on your web cam (not to mention all the happenings in your neighborhood when you pointed it out the window, haha) I'm a little sad to see it go myself. Good times.

well, technically the Welt is not a dealership- it's an exhibit. They don't sell any cars there, they only deliver them to customers.

If you went in there an wanted to buy a car, they would tell you to walk down the street to the BMW dealer and place an order. After few weeks you could go to the Welt and pick up your new car.
