Damn, that was a pretty slick vert, too. I've recently broken down and been lookin' on the 7club for decent FC's for sale, and the pickings are slim. So many project cars/busted ****/rollers/etc.....it's going to take some patience to find a good clean one.

At least the FD's are starting to come down in price. I'm seeing more in the 10k range!

I think you have more FC's on the East Coast than over here.
There's a couple in CA I am thinking about. I just need one of the locals to do some reconnoitering for me.

Like this one.

Very cheap

http://newhaven.craigslist.org/cto/1438256973.html

This was the best I saw in local listings and seems to be worth the price tag of 10k

This is a SCAM! Already found another scam on Craigslist. It was for a 2004 RX8 for $4700. Car turned out to belong to a girl in Canada. She wasn't selling it. Turned that one over to the FBI. Had cell numbers, local numbers and IP address's and copies of emails. Be careful. Read the EBAY and Craigslist warnings.

I read the warnings which are more relevant to the nature of how they want to conduct the business, not prices. Every now and then someone just wants to get rid of their car for cheap even though as you are, I was skeptical over that one price.

The other 2 look to be legit and priced reasonably.

Serious. they are usually ones with 100k+ miles, getting close to a rebuild and body in average condition. Really good ones with rebuilt engine, some mods to it will price for closer to 12-15k.

I ran the VIN on that one through the dealer. And it's a Silver with Red interior. Plus anytime they want to ship the car to you, and offer EBAY Vehicle Protection Plan and the car's not on EBAY. I told them I will come to where the car is. No response.
I'm just saying to be careful. Here is a copy of one of the emails.

Subject: TIP

Hello Erick,

I already forward your details at eBay Purchase Protection and I think
they already sent you the notifications of the payment to start this deal
with me. If you receive the notifications from them, please make the
payment on the agent name and then send the payment details to eBay Purchase Protection so they can check the transfer and immediately I will
start the shipping to you and you will receive the car in max 7 working days
and you will have 15 to test it along with all the papers. Now I will
wait to eBay Purchase Protection to inform to start the shipping to
your door.I will really apreciate a reply from you to let me know your
status in this deal.Hope to hear from you soon.

Regards

P.S. Oh...I almost forgot...Look,I'll sell to you a TIP:when you'll go to
Money Gram to wire the money,if they will ask you who you'll send
the
money, tell them that you´ll send the
money to a friend to avoid the fees for the bussiness transfer, because after you receive the car and
eBay Purchase Protection forward me
the money, Money Gram will charge me HIGH fees if they will know that
we have
a
deal!!

Thank's for helping me too..

LOL That is a scam!

Yeah, they are all over on the West Coast. There are damn near NO good 7's of any kind for sale in my area. We are filled with project cars or just casual people who didn't take care of it.

I flew to Cincinnati in January to buy my n/a FC. Bone stock with only minor body issues. Paid $2700. Then I had to drive it 1300 miles back! I won't buy an RX-7 with mods on it as I know all of the stupid things that get done to them. I am also hesitant about buying a TII. It also has to be bone stock. I don't trust anyone else's work though.

Yup it is. I'm not looking to buy any, just found them quick and tossed them your way. I never would buy a car without seeing it first and being able to pick it up on my own. That and them having the title. If they don't have the title it brings up a red flag just as much as not being able to pick up the car on your own

I agree with this statement, I rather get an untouched stock base car than one someone worked on not knowing what or how they went about modding them.

If you look hard enough Erik, you will find something very nice and at a good price. I picked up this jewel a few weeks ago. Paid $700 and it runs very good.

It runs like a champ. Boost builds really nice. Just needs an exhaust & brakes.

That's ridiculous. A clean turbo fc with stock engine bay intact, I don't see how you can't buy that. Actually, I don't see how they couldn't just toss a sign on it, drive it around the block and get twice that. They must really like you.

Easy,

Clean white CA vert here in Portland, OR. for $2995. The interior looks better than the one you were originally looking at as well. Want me to check it out for you?
