Many people buy sports cars for looks, to make a statement.

MT for them is often just a hassle. They usually can't understand why anyone would wanna go through "all that shifting nonsense" when the car is "perfectly capable of doing it by itself," lol...

Personal preferences aside, no one can argue that a manual is easier to drive than an auto. The manual may be more enjoyable to drive and may give the driver more control, but it is more difficult to operate. Once you learn to drive a manual, it becomes second nature, although the learning curve is steeper than with an auto.

but driving isnt fun unless you are in complete control of everything ( i kinda wish we didnt have ABS).
I have a lot of fun in my auto, and even in a manual you never really have complete control of everything, unless you're by yourself on a track or something, but what's to stop a blowout or something from happening even then? I guess I'm just happy to have an 8 period even if it is an auto, I personally couldn't afford the 6 spd (they were going for about 3 grand more and I got a screaming deal on my auto) and have limited experience with driving a stick anyway I'll leave the manual vs. auto discussion for the same folks who think sportscars have to have them or whatever, that argument has been going on for longer than I've been driving and will stay around long past the time I'm not. Enjoy what you drive no matter what the drivetrain or car and in the end, this is all just temporary anyway
