I've always had this feeling of deja vu about the styling of the RX-8. Earlier today, I was sending friends some images from the DTM race at Zandvoort, NL last Sunday (5 Sep). "Deja vu all over again."




The Opel is driven by Marcel Fässler of Switzerland, in 11th position in the yearly standings, with by far the most cool flames. The Audi's at the hands of 12th-place Emanuele Pirro, born in Italy, living in Monte Carlo (tough life). The Mercedes is driven by Christijan Albers of The Netherlands, currently 2nd in points. No problem getting close to the drivers, or the cars...


Mercedes technicians working on brakes of Formula 3 car. DTM races are as up-close and personal as NASCAR, and usually have Formula 3 competition as well. Lots of fun, and I think I know where the folks at Mazda found some styling cues.

 

Yep, they all clearly have 4 wheels...
