'05 Porsche Boxster
Pictures and short write up (more like Press Release) for 2005 Boxster:

I like it. It looks more grown up than the current Boxter, a bit more potent in base form, and the S looks to be even better. I can't wait to see more pictures (like a good profile pic would be nice to see the amount of front/rear overhang), but looks nice.

I've come to the conclusion that the two seat issue really isn't, so my next car will likely be a two seater. I like the Elise, but I've always liked the Boxster. I think the bump in power for the base model is just enough. Though I might still opt for the S depending on what the wife wants to do for her next car. Then again, in a year or two when I want to get myself a new car there will probably be something even better.
Anyhow, it's nice to see there's a decent option out there from Porsche. If rumors grow stronger for a new '7, I might just wait long enough to see what that's all about.

I'd like to see the boxster's styling a little more like 1955 "The little Bastard". The rear end of the boxster doesn't do anything for me at all. In fact, the boxster reminds me of what people called the 912, 924 and 944, the poor man's porsche.

I think anything "below" a 911 will always be looked at as a poor man's Porsche. If I was single, I'd consider a Carrera, but my wife needs a car too.

My friend's little brother owns a Porsche Boxster. Okay so he doesn't own it per se; his parents bought it for him. :p
They're realy nice cars. It gets tempting everyday while I'm driving home, and I see the billboard on I-10 that says Porsche Boxster: $399/month. :D
No hardtop I see? That sucks. Oh well. I'm looking forward to the 3.2 liter, 280 hp, S engine. Very grown up. I still miss the styling of the Ruf Yellowbird.

Whee. I found the link. :D

This is the Boxster I want. I'm not a big fan of convertibles, except for the FC, and the 1994-1998 Mustang.

Wow, that really looks like a baby 996. Which isn't a bad thing by any means, but it would be nice if Porsche differentiated the two models a little bit more to add some variety to their lineup.

Typical Porsche.... all their new models are evolutions of the previous models.
That's good and bad in a way I suppose.
When was the last time Porsche broke new ground in the styling department?

Will it bother you when there are too many rx8s on the road? Which car do you think is being more produced in US. The RX8, or the Boxter. I wouldn't buy one because of the cost, but it is a nice machine.i I enjoy my rx8, even if it will soon be a dime a dozen car.

Well said VikingDJ.
I see 911's all the time, and the RX-8 is getting to be one of those cars I see daily, besides mine. Hell, I almost opened someone else's if it weren't for the obvious appearance kit (I was very tired from my all-day classes). :o
