clutch problems

does anyone knows what some signs of a bad clutch slave cylinder are? A few weeks ago, my clutch pedal stopped returning to the to the unpressed position and now my clutch doesnt engage completely. I think it might be the clutch slave cylinder or master cylinder, but im not completely positive about it. If anyone can help me out here, i would appreciate it. Thank you.

What year is your 8?
The SI models had lots of problems with the Clutch peddle bracket actually breaking.

Clutch won’t return to back as it should

Lost clutch during a drive today. It simply stayed buried all the way down

Check the clutch pedal to ensure it hasn't snapped at the welds. Often the clutch pedal can **** to one side slightly if the welds are failing. If the pedal and bracket are OK, you will want to look for leaks st the clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder. If you do need to replace one, its a good idea to replace the other as a preventive.
