eh, most people assume a small car is automatically a chick car. whereas, a larger vechicals are suppose to me manly. to me all those lines are blurred since i see more women driving trucks and suvs.
on a side note. most of the 8 owners around here are old women.
no im not an old woman :P

^^ Totally true about more and more girls are driving big SUVs and Trucks. We have two girls in my team at work and one of them drives a big *** Chevy SUV and the other one drives a Ford F150 crew cab. Both cars are as big as an elephant. lol
And my sister drives a big 4-runner cuz she hates little cars.
The way the girls think about cars has changed since 90s........

The general automotive-ignorant public will always assume a car that looks like the 8 is a chick car. These people know nothing about the performance potential or the history line of the engine. I don't know how many times some of my coworkers have assumed my car is fwd and very economical. These are the type of people that would say it is a chick car. A chick car to me is an 80's VW cabriolet - red w/ a white top or white w/ a white top.
The old body style of the Celica (up to 1999?) was a chick car. I should know, my wife had a convertable GT, and every time I drove around in it I felt like it was a chick car. Never broke down, but the pipsqueak horsepower was a good sign it was a chick car.
The new Celica design is just a remodified chick car design.

Just take your buddies for a ride in it and they'll not say another word about it being a chick car (or even better, let them drive it!).
As for the Celica, I consider GTs chick cars. If you get one, you'd better make it a GT-S. You know the one with the engine they put in the Lotus Elise.
one of the guys at my work called my rx8 a chick car.. with his at 6cyl mustang.. hehehe.. this is also a guy who thinks that chrome wheels are better for racing because they add weight therefore giving the car better traction.. i come out dumber every time i talk him..
Let's see I'm a chick and I love RX-8's so that makes it a chick car.
But I don't care for Celica's so that means they are not chick cars, right?
But seriously stereotypes suck. if you like the car then get it. 'nuff said.
