Chick car? Celica and RX8
 

Do you all consider the Toyota Celica and Mazda RX8 chick cars?



i currently have a Mazda rx8 which many of my friends joke about it being a chick car, but i dont give a **** about it cuz i love the car.

but a car i love more is the 2000 and up Toyota Celicas, i LOVE those cars, and no matter what id probably end up getting one but my question is do you consider this car a chick car or what? im just bored basically asking, some people do but i really dont, just wanted your opinions thanks.

The RX-8 is definitally not a chick car. Chicks like it because it is a very good looking car, with a sweet interior. I would say the celica is more of a chick car.

this topic was beaten to death long ago, girls like the curves of the car and think it's cute, however the car is elegant and handles like a man. no, a chick car would be a vw beetle.

a chick car would be the 350z or g35 because chicks now are going for the more muscular or luxurious look. but every car would be considered a chick car, i see more ladies driving the 8 than males. like how i see more females drive the g35 or z. i dont know how to answer this question :uhh:

Celica ends with the letter "A" which embodies the effeminate nature of the car.

Kind of like girls names ie. Laura, Alyssa, Tricia, Tabitha, etc.

A chick car would be a car that guys (heterosexual) normally would not drive/purchase, like the VW Beetle and Cabriolet esp. the convertible one,Toyota Prius, Dodge Neon and unless it's fixed up, a bone stock Miata.

The 8 is just a very exotic looking car and chicks dig it. But as you can see here on this website that the male owners are the majority therefore the 8 is not a chick car.

If chick car means that women stare at the RX8, like no other care I've ever been behind the wheel of, then yes, it's definitely a chick car.

I have never, ever had so many rubberneckers checking my car out. I think I will debadge it next week. If anyone asks me what it is I will tell them it's a prototype and I'm the development engineer, and it has a motor with no pistons.

A chick car is a car that women love the looks of but also lack any semblance of manliness or sporting performance. While chicks love the looks of both, the RX8 doesn't qualify because it stomps on a track. The Celica does because it's a front-driver and powered by a sewing machine. The automatic RX8 does qualify though, because of the power drop and the additional penalty of an automatic transmission, because let's face it, the average effeminate person of either sex is mystified by a third pedal.

Well.. I'm a chick and I have a MT RX-8... Some chicks prefer the sticks, ya know! ;)

I would be here all night if I listed all the cars I've heard are considered "chick cars"... Just don't listen and remember one thing..

There are a lot of jealous people out there... they will always knock the things they really want but can not have... The first thing they'll do is discourage you from getting it!

If I were you, I'd get the car no matter what your "friends" say and let them drool in silence behind your back... Soon enough they'll have to admit you made a wise choice!

Celica's? Definitely, unless it's the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gen. THe 4th, 5th, and 6th gen with AWD aren't chick cars either. The rest are.

its funny cause one of my friends was busting my balls about driving a chick car (and he drives a sube forester wagon, FTX ha) and then no more than 10 seconds after that 3 guys walked over and was said "is that your car? its so cool...etc"

I had a 2001 celica GT, chick car or not, those things handle like pavement superglue. And I've seen some Turboed ones that could smoke EVOs and STIs. And the interior's actually pretty sick for what those cars cost.

If you mean chick car in the way girls flock to it in a crowd and want to go for a ride in my "lub macheen" then yes. Its a chick car. I recently had one of my clients want to take a zip in the car. Guys always talk about it but the girls just invite themself, and I fail to see a problem with that. Although they tend to get scared before you max it out. Yes on a public road, but also in the middle of no where, in full daylight.
