Other than the decals, white wheels, and non matching seats I think the car is done rather well. I'm guessing there was much more in store for that car and would make a great project car, which is what I think it was but they probably had funding issues and were forced to sell.

What a waste of time. He should just put the 4g63 in there. MIVEC never really made it big in Japan.

Thousands of dollars spent and it's still FWD and pretty weak. Sure, to each his own, but I'm reminded of a certain quote by PT Barnum...

The real sad part is that someone is actually willing to pay $11k for it, which would buy you a real Evo IV in some parts of the world...

If it is (I know not mitsu at all), then he botched it himself by saying:

"Engine: 1600cc DOHC MIVEC inline 4
Power: 175HP@7500rpm
Torque: 125FT@7000rpm
Redline @ 8200rpm with 10000rpm
CR: 11:1
Drive: FWD"

I don't think he's going to get a very good "sell" on a half-project car like that. A makeshift evo that's (apparently) fwd, n/a, and pretty darn close suspension-wise to the US mirage it is under the shell.

Not to discredit the work done though. Just not interesting to most people's pocketbooks.

The Fujiwara Tofu is a reference to a Japanese anime called "Initial-D". It's about this boy who uses his father's old Corolla (AE86) for delivering tofu for that shop. Eventually, he got caught up with the downhill racing scene and became a legendary downhill racer against better cars like Rx-7, Evo's, Skylines, Silvias, MR2's, etc. It's a pretty good anime although it has some corny stuff in it. But the racing scenes are pretty good and is supposed to be under consultation from the Tsuchiya guy from Best Motoring, aka the "Drift King".
