Looks like it's novel for the sake of novelty. And, it looks like it'll take up the entire trunk. I've been playing wtih shape memory alloys lately, so I'm waiting for a car to come out with a auto roll up top.

I agree with BlueEyes, novelty for the sake of novelty. I am sure some long hours were spent engineering that mechanism, and yes it is different, but better.... no idea and how does it have a usable trunk with the top stowed?
