Check out the 2007 Lotus Elise!!!

This car is hot! It's bears resemblance to the RX8 in the front nose and the way the body sits on the chassis. I would imaging if they brought back the RX7 it would look very similar to this from the sketches I've already seen.

I think they've ruined the look of the Elise with this one.
Too sharp and angular for my liking.
I suppose it might grow on me.......

I think it's hard to tell from that one picture. Looks like it could be from different makers; mini-viper, mini-ferrari or even RX8. It does look less busy than the current elise, so i like it better.

I think it looks bad ***. The current version doesn't quite do it for me, this one has more conventional sports car styling cues.

Looks like a Photochop... kinda hard to tell since the pic is so small and grainy, but I'm sure if Lotus released official pics of the new Elise it would be on the cover of every car mag in the world.

Actually it's in the SPEED magazine, the same magazine that the supercharged RX8 was featured in this month. It's an official photo, good try though!

This is what bothers me about SOME people on this forum quick to talk when you should do your research first instead of making assumptions, and also read what I posted. It wasn't the NEW Elise, it was the 2007 prototype Elise, as I stated above.

Don't like it that much. The same pic was also in another magazine besides Speed.

So basically your argument is "if it's in a magazine, it must be true."

So you actually think that Lotus' official unveiling of a major update/new generation of the Elise would be a small, grainy image in a magazine?

I'll believe it when I see this car on a turntable at the official Lotus display in a major auto show.

Ok listen, don't get mad because you don't read the entirety of my posts. I said prototype and you even quoted part of my thread but didn't bother to read the rest. I never said that it was the official unveiling of the car! I said it was an official photo, meaning I didn't photchop it, it came from a magagzine. Now your putting words in my mouth. I'm trying to keep this thread civilized and in an adult manner, but you seem to be making that extremely hard to do. Your attempting to flame me on something that I posted, and that I thought was an attempt to show others that there was possibly a car of interest coming onto the market in the next couple of years. POSSIBLY, I never said that it was an official release or unveiling of the Elise. The picture is grainy because I made it smaller so I could post it on this forum. It was spied on at a Britain test track, and as stated in the thread it has been seen in other magazines.

Sorry, next time I'll be so exact in detail so people don't jump to conclusions and start throwing flaming ***** at me! Damn, it was an attempt to show my find, that was all, not to make myself look better than anyone or start arguing about something so irrelevant as this!

I don't care who criticizes it, that's why I put it there, so people could see it, and then post what they thought. I didn't put it there to be flamed about it's authenticity. It was put there for fun, that's why I don't like somethings about this website, people jump to conclusions too quickly before just asking a civilized quetion in a peacful manner. If you did that, then caught me lying, I would expect to be jumped all over about it. But I didn't lie about anything, all I did was post something on the board and instead of asking nicely, I am told that it's a photochop, and an bunch of other things I never said.

To be honest with you I hope a moderator jumps in and closes the thread, cause I'm just annoyed that I posted anything at all.

I never just make accusations and jump to conclusions without asking first, I wouldn't want to make a fool of myself if I were wrong.

So now simply pointing out that a picture in a magazine is an artist's rendition is "flaming"?

wtf

Well the way it looked was as if you were taking a hit at me for photochopping something and stating that I believe everything I see in magazines didn't help much either. But it doesn't matter I may have taken it the wrong way, it just seemed like you were trying to pick at what I had posted and calling it a fake.

No harm done, definitely not turning this thread into the titaniumgrey thread that I've already seen here once. :D

We're talking about the RX-8, if you haven't seen it you should be able to find it with a simple search.
