I like the 370, but those are one of the ugliest wheels i have ever seen

Nissan has announced the immediate availability of the new Fairlady Z ((370 Z in most other markets)) 40th Anniversary Edition to the Japanese market. It may also be unveiled during the approaching Tokyo Motor Show. Prices are ¥4,483,500 (€33,043/ US$49,300) for the 6-speed manual and ¥4,588,500 (€33,817/ US$50,455) for the 7-speed automatic.

The Fairlady badge goes all the way back to October 1969 when the original Fairlady Z (aka Datsun 240 Z) was born. Forty years later the name has become an icon representing excellence in reasonably-priced sports car manufacturing.

The limited-edition Coupe begins its life as a normal Fairlady Z with things such as a front chin spoiler, a rear spoiler and Nissan Sport brakes. Added features include items like a special 40th Anniversary leather/suede-like fabric combination for the seats with memorial engraving on the seat backs, a leather-covered steering with red stitches, kneepads in the driver and passenger seats, dark chrome forged aluminium wheels and special sport brake callipers. A unique metal grey paint was created for the model.

Power comes from the same naturally aspirated 3.7-litre V6 producing 244kW (332hp) and 366Nm (270 lb-ft) of torque.

I agree , the wheels are hideous!
Too bad Nissan doesn't offer more than just red stiching and some ugly wheels to this car. A reduction in weight and a bump in HP/TRQ would have been nice.

The 50th anniversary 1984 Z( celebrating 50 years of Nissan, not the Z car) is the best one out the Anniversary Z cars so far.

I rather get the Nismo 370Z at least you get a 350HP motor, body kit, suspension upgrade, wheels, etc and you come away 5k-10k cheaper than the 40th Anniversary. 50k is a rip.......

Im sure half the ppl who buy them will put very few miles on them, never see a track, and then sold 20 yrs later for a horrible price. The seats are nice but thats all that really stands out to me imo. The 370 hasnt really grown on me like the 350 did. The styling is very busy and I hear the ride is near punishing. Id rather have a used cayman or Z3 hardtop if i were gonna buy a 2 seat coupe. The dash on the 50th anniv. 300z were just awesome. Really edgy and futuristic. My buddy had one all ragged out for a week, unfortunately he wrecked it 6 days after owning it. Drove off Galveston's seawall into a huge granite stone sitting in the sand. Best 600dollars spent lol

I like the wheels for one.. but $49k is just too much, get the nismo for that type of money.
I've definitely seen worse wheels than those.

still looks like garbage; wheels are horrendous, those damn boomerang headlight / tail lights are an eye sore and the car still seems 'bloated' to me.

no thanks.

I like the new 370Z. The rims are not the best but they are far from the ugliest stock rims I have seen.

These stock Ford Fusion rims are UGLY.

So they are saying 49.3k represents a "reasonably priced sports car"? Must be some good weed they are smoking.

Ill agree the 40th RX-8 was nothing special, but at least Mazda didn't put a 10k markup on it just for the badging and red seats.

^+1 on prefering nismo

I think the car itself and wheels look bad from certain angles, but others look mean. That shot does nothing for it IMO

I'd forgo both the Nismo and the anniversary edition for just a regular 370z with sports package.
