As far as the OP goes, on that street, would it be possible to park the car?
Most times when I see cops break a U-turn or just suspect something I pull over ASAP and hop out of the car.
I saw it twice, one at right by the i495's 108 Exit (Exit 28? forgot) and the other time is at brooklyn, forgot the street name, probably just random check point.

yeah, you might want to Avoid it at all cost. I know I did, even I have Cat and stuff on. I dont want to wait for that ****. lol

That is bullshit. I would be screaming bloody murder if this crap was going on in my state. It's bad enough my state is one of the top 3 worst states for traffic infractions. Cops on every corner spending time harassing drivers instead of catching murderers as evidenced by Baltimore's awesome violent death rate.

You know why ?

To them (the cops), anybody who breaks the rule(s) is a criminal to them. They're just "doing their job."

Im not sure about your state, but for NYC, they get no bonuses for catching criminals, but they DO GET Bonuses for giving people a lot of tickets.

For reals, every week they have this "special raffle/bouns" giving out to the officer who gave out most tickets. and oh yes, they have a quota to meet every week. Thats why instead of patrolling the area, you see A LOT of NYPD camping at interception corners, to wait for people to run red lights/stop signs/turn at middle lane/etc. Hell, they're even as **** up as giving people tickets in subway cuz this white kid "cross" his leg, the cop gave him a 50 bux ticket cuz "his leg took the space next to him" ROFL.

The more you become, the more pollution I'm going to create. Consider it my carbon reset initiative. Excuse me while I go puncture an old can of freon and cut down a tree.

^^Yes RG, the balance needs to be maintained!

These smog checkpoints are complete BS. Wasted manpower (taxpayer $) for something that isnt going to deterr anyone...******* retarded. NO type of checkpoint actually works for the purpose it was "intended", just works to **** u over a lil more and create a few more dollars for the man. Now im pissed, im goin out and redlining all day today...

Those machines posted on the first page was the main reason why I do not have my Miata anymore.

Imagine their surprise when I rolled onto one of those things and popped open my hood for them to feast their eyes on:

- Individual Throttle Bodies
- Megasquirt ECU
- Mazda Comp Test Pipe
- Integral Stage 2 Camshafts
- Toda Cam Gears
- Custom Mercury Capri XR2 Turbo valve cover (exposed cam gears)
- Power Enterprises Timing Belt

So much time and money invested. One stupid run on the street, car is no more.

I also just got back from a Miata meet in City of Industry, CA too where they have these things just picking off cars from the meet.

i doubt this station is set up primarily for cars that are modded but more for cars that are older, running on temp registration or show signs of being a gross polluter. the truck appears to be a perfect candidate for gross polluter status, that camry is a commonly stolen vehicle and i can imagine chp wanting to pull one of those over for just about any reason.

our cars are almost all too new for required smog checks. 04 models will be coming up for the first time this year so i wouldn't be too concerned...

What will they think of next????

I could go on for years about the way our country spends money, but whatever makes them happy.

As much as I love driving highly tuned vehicles, the direction we are going in, I'm afraid I'll need to make use of a HYBRID..............

I already Emailed him that we should tax anyone that is 15lbs overweight due to the extra carbon they exhale.

We need to stop global warming.

^^^, I know Obama is trying and to a certain extent, it is working. Cutting some weight might not be a bad idea.

I live in northern KY, just outside of cincinnati and we had tailpipe tests for like 4 years, i think i had to go twice and it was like $100 each time. then some guy ran for office and said he would get rid of it and everyone voted for him... and holy ****, he actually did what he said... so no more tailpipe testing here. catless ftw

FYI, I just had my '04 CA smog tested today, with 43,000 miles. Passed easily. 50 times cleaner than passing for Hydrocarbons, 10 times cleaner than passing for Carbon Monoxide, and 100 times cleaner than passing for Nitrogen Oxide.

The only "mod" I have is the BHR ignition.

So if you're running stock and engine is in decent shape I don't think you have anything to worry about with this car.
