C6-R lap around Le Mans - camera on the hood.

They literally just taped the Canon Powershot Digital Camera to the hood of the car. I would kill to be there this weekend.

Yea saw this on Autoblog, great footage, now I just need to find someone with DVR to record the race for me while I am out of town.

That was a good idea to just tape the camera to the hood. V ideo came out great.

Yeah, I first saw this on Autoblog too. I agree. Totally awesome video.

Does anybody know how the C6.R's are doing? From what I read, there was supposed to be some strong competition from the Aston Martins and Saleens. Even though I'm not a "Vette guy", GM has really put together an impressive record the past few years. I love how GM is building a road racing heritage (i.e. not NASCAR), and I hope the Vette's win their class again.

^ Update -- I just checked the results. The top Corvette was 6th overall and 2nd in class to an Aston Martin DBR9. Darn.
