Hey guys, thanks for all your info and help...my heart was set on the rx8 big time, but when it came down to it, I decided that having just started with my career and wanting to go back to school, it'd be smarter for me to not spend so much on a car, so I picked up a spec v. I figured its got plenty of power as well, and the sleeper quality of being a sentra and not as well known as a lot of other cars, along with the general reliability that comes with most japanese cars, all for under 16 grand after rebates.

The insurance costs, gas mileage and general problems that come with a new production car kind of veered me away from the rx8, as much as I would love to have one. I figure I can mod the spec a bit and have a fun get around car, and see what mazda has to offer once its paid off. I'm already tired of all the ricers wanting to race me, though. I didn't have the car more than a few hours before some idiot in a civic wanted to go.

Good call on the Spec V Catat0nic. I used to own a black '02. Did you get the Rockford Fosgate stereo option?

Seriously though, you did the smart thing by not putting yourself in a financial bind.

 

Well they come standard with a fosgate sub, you can get the upgrade which gives you like a 1 inch bigger sub for an absurd amount of money.

No mods yet I just got it ...I'd like to get a front end from an '02 if I can find one..

As for the sleeper comment....hey you're right I forgot about that part! I see guys run mid-low 15's in this car stock so I think its plenty fast enough for me

My first mod will be to strip the damn sentra tags though. If that even constitutes a mod

I wish they'd let me tint the front windows. Stupid california

 

Education is more important, good choice.
